Frequently Asked Questions

What should I wear?

​

Please wear suitable outdoor clothing that you will feel comfy in for the weather conditions anticipated on the day. Comfy durable shoes or wellies are advised. If rain is due we would recommend you wear full waterproof clothing.

 

 

Can I take my foraged produce home?


Yes and your welcome to bring a basket or other bag to store your foraged produce. We promote sustainable foraging and strongly recommend only harvesting an amount suitable for your needs. No commercial foraging is permitted on any of our courses.

Can I bring my dog?


Yes, as long as dogs are permitted at the particular course location.Your dog must be under your full responsibility at all times. You must notify us if you wish to bring your dog and we can advise on the permissions for any particular course.

Can I bring children?


Children 17 and under can attend free of charge, they must be under the supervision of a responsible adult at all times. Some of the routes may not be suitable for young children due to the terrain and length. Please get in contact about a specific course and we can advise on its suitability for children.

Are there toilet facilities?

 

On most of our courses there are no public toilet facilities.

Are the courses suitable for all abilities?

​

On our courses we cover long distances over a range of terrains that are very uneven, hilly, rocky, often involve climbing over large object (stiles, rocks etc) this may not be suitable for wheelchairs and pushchairs. We will do our best to arrange for alll abilities to participate, in some cases it just may not be possible. You will need to be physically fit enough to traverse the foraging routes. Please get in contact about a specific course date and we can advise on its suitability.

I have special dietary requirements, can you cater for that?

​

Please let us know prior to the course if you have any special diatary requirements. We can cater for vegetarians and vegans, however, we are unable to cater for gluten free. Please let is know beforehand if you have any allergies and we can advise. You are not obligated to eat any of the food we forage for on our courses and would be more than welcome to join for the experience.
